Form: Sterile-filtered red liquid, containing phenol red pH indicator

 Composition: 1:1 mixture of DMEM and Ham’s F-12. Contains L-glutamine, high glucose, sodium pyruvate and phenol red.

Does NOT contain HEPES. No proteins, lipids or growth factors. Usually supplemented with fetal bovine serum before use.

Buffer System: Sodium bicarbonate buffer system. Requires 5–10% CO₂ incubator to maintain physiological pH, not suitable for long-term operation outside CO₂ environment.

Storage: Store at 2–8 °C, protect from light. Shelf life: 12 months from manufacture date.

Features Combines high nutrient content of DMEM and rich trace elements of Ham’s F-12. Without HEPES, more cost-effective. Suitable for long-term cell culture under stable CO₂ incubator, not recommended for experiments with frequent opening of culture vessels and fluctuating CO₂ concentration.

Application Widely used for in vitro culture of mammalian cells including MDCK, fibroblasts, glial cells, endothelial cells, stem cells, organoids and immortalized OKF6/TERT-2 oral keratinocytes. Applied in routine cell passaging, proliferation and in vitro cell immunology experiments.
