文献和实验一种甾类糖苷，别名 g-毒毛旋花苷。用作强心剂。在原产地也用于制作毒箭。从产于非洲的夹竹桃科的羊角拗属（ St-rophanthus gratus）的种子或同科的 Ac-ocanthera ouabaio的木材中获得。与从毒毛旋花（ S． kom-be）得到的 k-毒毛旋花苷有所区别。可用于研究钠 -钾 ATP酶的特异性抑制剂（ k-毒毛旋花苷也有效）。其强心作用也是基于此种抑制作用，但详细的分子结构不明。其糖苷配基也称乌本苷配基或 g-毒毛旋花苷配基。
