Application: This antigen preparation should be mixed by vortexing immediately prior to use to ensure the preparation is uniform.  Do not sonicate.  This preparation may be used as is in a variety of immunoassay formats or may be further purified to meet the needs of a particular assay format.  The antigen may be used for both IgG and IgM detection in assays, which include EIA, CLIA, Lateral Flow and Western Blot with polystyrene and latex solid phases.  Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application.  Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.  
Storage: Store at < -65°C.  Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.  
Inactivation: Detergent lysis.  Effectiveness determined when no detection of growth in two blind passages under the original culture conditions.  Result:  No growth detected.
