Product application:
TES has been used in TES buffer to determine the anti collagenase activity in the stems of Marula trees. [1] It is also used in buffer solutions for cell culture media
In biological experiments, it is an important pH stabilizing reagent, usually selecting appropriate weak acids and their conjugated bases to mix to obtain a suitable pH value. Most biological reactions occur under neutral conditions, with pH generally selected between 6-8, and the effective buffering range of the buffer is also required to be between 6-8. Additionally, it is required that the acid-base form of the buffer does not chelate with certain metal ions.
