Hematoxylin, also known as hematoxylin, is a staining agent for the nucleus and chromatin. It is also an acid-base indicator, with pH 5.0 (yellow) to pH 6.0 (purple), 0.0 (pink) to 1.0 (green). Qualitative analysis of copper (II), iron (III), molybdate, bismuth (III), and tin (IV). Photometric determination of vanadium, aluminum, tin (IV), fluorine, niobium, and tantalum.
