Amicon ® Ultra 4 mL centrifuge and Ultracel ® The 10000 Dalton molecular weight cutoff filter provides fast ultrafiltration and reliable macromolecule retention. For example, the retention rate of cytochrome C (12.4 kDa) at an initial concentration of 0.25 mg/ml is>95%.
The vertical design and effective membrane surface area provide fast sample processing, high sample recovery (typically greater than 90% of the dilute starting solution), and a processing capacity of 80 times the concentration. The vertical design minimizes solute polarization and subsequent membrane fouling, and the physical permanent stop point in the filtration device prevents spinning drying and potential sample loss.
