In addition to antibiotics, buffers and growth factors, cell culture media also often require extra nutrients in the forms of amino acids. Although the typical mammalian cell can synthesize non-essential amino acids (NEAA), supplementing cell culture media with NEAA promotes rapid cell growth and enhance proper cell metabolism. Furthermore, this sterile product can be used for the enhancement in vitro culture and differentiation of mouse and human pluripotent stem cells. ScienCell offers 100X concentrate of NEAA present in the Minimum Essential Medium (MEM).
