Representational difference analysis of cDNA (cDNA RDA) is designed to compare two different mRNA populations resulting in the isolation of differentially expressed genes. RDA was originally developed for genomic DNA as a method to isolate the differences between two complex genomes (1 ) and later was adapted for cDNA to examine differential gene expression (2 ).
