        麝香腺 musk gland

        麝和麝香猫身上分泌麝香（musk为麝的分泌物，civet为香猫的分泌物）的腺体。都见于附属于生殖器的麝香囊中。麝的麝香囊是位于雄体腹部脐后方鸡蛋大的囊，麝香猫的麝香囊无论雌雄都位于生殖器和肛门之间。麝香可用作香料，形成这种香料香味的基本物质，麝的称麝香酮（muscone），麝香猫的称香猫酮（civetone）。
