Saccomanno's Cytology Fixative is one of the most widely used fixatives in Cytology. This amazing fixative is the perfect collection fixative for cytology specimens such as sputums, urine, FNA'S, bronchial washings, pleural and peritoneal fluids.
Saccomanno's Fixative is a great pre-fixative for cytology specimens that need to be transported or held for some time as it partially fixes the specimen's cells to protect them from self digestion and decomposing. Saccomanno's Cytology Fixative is also the fixative of choice for collecting and fixing sputum specimens.

。渗透性很弱。另外不适宜用于细胞化学和组织化学方面的研究。在把材料放入固定液中后，固定液内外产生浓度梯度，这对保持形态是不利的。为了防止这一缺点，可把材料作成小块和薄片，同时并混以醋酸或酒精等，以提高对原生质的通透性。但是这类固定液一般具有溶解脂类的性质，会促使细胞内部结构发生变化，或因固定液急剧浸入细胞，使细胞内低分子物质流失，因此这与形态的保存是矛盾的。用固定液对材料进行固定，一般容易引起原生质收缩。各种固定液均各有其本身的缺点，对材料的固定状态也每有不同，但如果根据不同目的采取适当的处方和调整
