中性粒细胞明胶酶相关脂质运载蛋白（NGAL），也称为脂质运载
蛋白-2（Lipocalin-2）。NGAL 在一系列细胞反应中发挥作用，包括先
天免疫反应，细胞分化，肿瘤发生和细胞存活等。它是一个 25kDa 的蛋
白，以单体、同型二聚体和异型二聚体形式存在，并与 MMP-9（人金
属基质酶 9）活性相关，通过保护 MMP-9 不被降解调节蛋白酶活性。
小鼠同源物称为 24p3，与人 NGAL 有 62%的氨基酸序列同源性。NGAL
能调节哺乳动物细胞的铁摄取，在肾脏中，通过控制铁离子参与肾损伤
的发生和保护过程。NGAL 还可作为急性肾损伤的生物标志物，它与乳
腺癌，卵巢癌，结肠直肠癌和胰腺癌等若干肿瘤相关。
