| Applications: | HCC2218 was derived from a female whose family members included several members with cancer; four lung cancer patients (two of them, non-smokers), two breast cancer patients (one of them also had lung cancer) and one colon cancer patient. HCC2218 is a poorly differentiated cell line derived from the primary tumor of an invasive ductal carcinoma with metastases in 42/43 lymph nodes. The cells are highly positive for expression of Her2/neu, and are also positive for expression of p53. HCC2218 is positive for the epithelial cell specific marker Epithelial Glycoprotein 2 [EGP2] and for cytokeratin 19. The cells are negative for expression of estrogen receptor (ER -). |

HCC2218 is a poorly differentiated cell line derived from the primary tumor of an invasive ductal carcinoma with metastases in 42/43 lymph nodes.
