苏联的高斯( G. P. Gause)等从短芽孢杆菌( B-acillus brevis)的培养液得到的多肽抗菌物质( 1944)。 S来自Советский的第一个字母С(英语为 S)。苏联短杆菌肽是由 L-缬氨酸、 L-鸟氨酸、 L-亮氨酸、 D-苯丙氨酸、 L-脯氨酸各二分子所组成的环状肽,对革兰氏阳性菌有效( 1μ g/ml就有净菌作用)。对人体的毒性不大,因此有对体内炎症和皮肤感染作局部使用的。
缬氨霉素 valinomycin 一种环状多肽类抗菌素,由极暗黄链霉菌( St- reptomyces fulvissimus, 1955)和津岛链霉菌( S. tsusimaensis, 1964)中得到。化学结构式是 [D-缬氨酸)-( L-乳酸)-( L-缬氨酸)-( D-α -羟基异缬草酸) -]3。对革兰氏阳性菌有效。可用于治疗为睡眠病原虫感染的小鼠。也可以使 K 在线粒体或红血球膜中的转运增快,在研究工作中常被采用。被解释为因疏水性环状结构包裹着 K 在其中心而通过膜
