Product Overview
Donor Goat Serum (DGS) is pooled from normal, healthy goats collected from selected donor herds under close Veterinary supervision that receive regular monitoring, inspection and care. Animal blood is aseptically collected from pre-screened donor animals that are maintained in controlled herds free of infectious and contagious diseases.
Normal goat serum aids in minimizing non-specific binding in immuno-histochemical and immuno-cytochemical applications and/or may primarily be utilized as a blocking agent in immunochemistry applications, as a negative control in immunoassay studies or in specialized cell culture applications. Caprine or Donor Goat Serum has its own unique qualities as do other available sera and are thus utilized for more specific cell culture applications.
