Dilution method : 不溶于PBS及偏碱性溶液。不可溶于生理盐水，用0.2M PH4.5左右的乙酸盐缓冲液溶解，溶解适量为1-5mg/ml溶剂。如有微量不溶物，不影响使用。作为抗原免疫动物可直接使用，当作为抗原用ELISA包板或其它免疫实验，最好离心去出不溶物在定量使用。
分子量：34.1万， PI : 5.8 ， 280nm 紫外吸收消光值（E）为1.36.
HFg定量法： 浓度（mg/ml)=280nm吸收值÷1.36 ×稀释倍数.

Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is the gamma component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein comprised of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains. Following vascular injury, fibrinogen is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin which is the most abundant component of blood clots. In addition, various cleavage products of fibrinogen and fibrin regulate cell adhesion and spreading, display vasoconstrictor and chemotactic activities, and are mitogens for several cell types. Mutations in this gene lead to several disorders, including dysfibrinogenemia, hypofibrinogenemia and thrombophilia. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
Fibrinogen, a major component of blood plasma, is a large heterotrimeric protein composed of three pairs of α, β and γ subunits, each produced from a distinct gene. Activation of the clotting cascade results in proteolysis of Fibrinogen by Thrombin, which induces aggregation to form Fibrin fibrils that form the meshwork component of blood clots. Other cleavage products of Fibrinogen and Fibrin are mitogenic for many other types of cells, promote chemotaxis or vasoconstriction, and modulate cell adhesion. Alternative splicing has been shown to generate several alternative Fibrinogen isoforms. γ' (γ prime) is a subunit variant found in approximately 15% of plasma Fibrinogen which forms clots resistant to fibrinolysis. Mutations in the Fibrinogen genes lead to a number of conditions, including dysfibrinogenemia, hypofibrinogenemia, afibrinogenemia, thrombotic tendency, thrombophilia and renal amyloidosis.
