Nescient Helix Loop Helix 2 (NHLH2) belongs to the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor family. NHLH2 is expressed in developing and adult neuroendocrine tissues for example the pituitary and hypothalamus. NHLH2 can act as a DNA-binding protein and may be involved in the control of cell-type determination, probably in the developing nervous system.

NHLH2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 158 amino acids (1-135 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 17.4kDa.
NHLH2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sterile Filtered clear solution.

NHLH2 protein solution (0.25mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 7.5), 0.2M NaCl, 50% glycerol and 5mM DTT.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
