    INTRODUCTION

    Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase 8, also known as MAPK8, is a part of the MAP kinase family. MAP kinases an integration point for multiple biochemical signals which take part in a various cellular processes. MAPK8 is a protein coding gene which is also involved in UV radiation induced apoptosis that is associated to cytochrom c-mediated cell death pathway.

    DESCRIPTION

    MAPK8 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 450 amino acids (1-427a.a) and having a molecular mass of 50.5kDa.
    MAPK8 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

    PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

    Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

    FORMULATION

    MAPK8 solution (0.5mg/ml) contains Phosphate Buffer Saline (pH7.4), 20% glycerol and 1mM DTT.

    STABILITY

    Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
    For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
    Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

    PURITY

    Greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
