Quidel 公司的人血清补体是血清补体的混合物，以活化的补体激活片段以及CH50为特征。因为血浆（EDTA、ACD甚至肝素）制备中使用的抗凝剂可能干扰补体激活，因此，通常用血清作为人体补体的实验来源。商业化的血清，没有经过适当的处理难以保存补体活性。冻干和血浆的复钙过程可提高补体片段产物（SC5b-9或TCC）的背景水平，
iC3b、Bb、C4d，尤其是过敏性毒素C3a、C5a和C4a降低了CH50水平。因此，从血库中获得的血清以及其它血清池中获得血清，不能满足实验需求。而Quidel公司的人血清补体有效解决了这些问题。

产品保存：
-70℃保存，如果需要的话，可以在37℃快速溶解，然后立即置于冰上，待用。剩余的补体血清，需要分装-70℃保存，避免反复冻融，不建议-70℃以上保存。
应用：
该补体血清用于补体激活实验的体外实验研究，广泛用于生物材料研究、药物开发和细胞毒性检测。该补体血清非常适合对血清补体活性要求高的体外实验。
