vasopressin）具有如下构造： H－ Cys－ Tyr－ Phe－ Gln－ Asn－ Cys－ Pro－ Arg－ Gly－ NH2 在猪的后叶加压素其 C末端邻近的精氨酸残基为赖氨酸所代替（赖氨酸后叶加压素 =lysine vasopres-sin）。在鸟类及两栖类等其接近精氨酸后叶加压素 N末端的苯丙氨酸却像后叶催产素那样存在着转变为异亮氨酸的管催产素（ vasotocin），似有后叶加压素的作用。后叶加压素的检定可用鼠的血压测定。
