背景简介：
臂板蛋白4D（semaphorin 4D，SEMA4D，CD100）在许多人类肿瘤中广泛表达，其表达与人类侵袭性疾病相关。SEMA4D通常调节某些细胞的运动和分化，包括免疫系统和血管系统的细胞。在临床前肿瘤微环境中，炎性细胞和肿瘤细胞表达SEMA4D调节髓细胞和淋巴细胞的浸润、空间分布和活性。SEMA4D结合位于肿瘤微环境中髓细胞上的神经丛蛋白（plexin）受体。当SEMA4D蛋白被阻断时，可消除SEMA4D屏障。一旦屏障被突破，炎性树突状细胞和促炎性抗原提呈细胞就会迁移并渗透到肿瘤中。在临床前癌症动物模型中，用抗体阻断SEMA4D可延缓肿瘤生长，并促进持久的肿瘤排斥反应。
