关于IFN-gamma/IFN-γ：
Mouse Ifng is a secreted protein which belongs to the type I I (or gamma) interferon family. IFNG is produced by lymphocytes and activated by specific antigens or mitogens. In addition to having antiviral activity, IFNG also has important immunoregulatory functions. It is a potent activator of macrophages and has antiproliferative effects on transformed cells. It can potentiate the antiviral and antitumor effects of the type I interferons. Genetic variation in IFNG is associated with the risk of aplastic anemia (AA) which is a rare disease in which the reduction of the circulating blood cells results from damage to the stem cell pool in bone marrow. In most patients, the stem cell lesion is caused by an autoimmune attack. T-lymphocytes, activated by an endogenous or exogenous, and most often unknown antigenic stimulus, secrete cytokines, including IFN-gamma, which would in turn be able to suppress hematopoiesis.

关于Biglycan：
Biglycan is a 200-350 kD proteoglycan consisting of a 45 kD core protein and two chrondroitin/dermatan sulfate glycosaminoglycan chains. Biglycan binds to TGF-ß. It also binds to collagen type I in low ionic strength (less than 3mM phosphate) buffer. At higher ionic strengths, Biglycan does not bind to collagen type I. It enhances the inhibition effect of TGF-ß on osteoclast proliferation at a concentration of 4-20mg/ml. It also prevents the attachment of CHO cells to fibronectin, with a 50% inhibition at 17-21mg/ml.

Receptors for the Fc region of immunoglobin G (FcγR) are divided into three classes and FcγRIII is a multifunctional, low/intermediate affinity receptor. In humans, FcγRIII is expressed as two distinct forms (FcγRIIIA and FcγRIIIB) that are encoded by two different but highly homologous genes in a cell type-specific manner. FcγRIIIB is a low-affinity, GPI-linked receptor expressed by neutrophils and eosinophils, whereas FcγRIIIA is an intermediate affinity polypeptide-anchored transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by a subset of T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, monocytes, and macrophages. The FcγRIIIA receptor is involved in phagocytosis, secretion of enzymes, inflammatory mediators, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), mast cell degranulation, and clearance of immune complexes. FcγRIIIA has an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM) in its cytoplasmic domain and delivers an activation signal in the immune responses. Aberrant expression or mutations in this gene is implicated in susceptibility to recurrent viral infections, systemic lupus erythematosus, and alloimmune neonatal neutropenia.
