Secreted and Transmembrane Protein 1 (SECTM1) is a transmembrane and secreted protein that belongs to the SECTM family. SECTM1 is expressed in a perinuclear Golgi-like pattern. It is detected at the highest levels in peripheral blood leukocytes and breast cancer cell lines. SECTM1 is considered to participate in thymocyte signaling and the hematopoietic/immune system processes. It is reported that SECTM1 is a broadly expressed, IFN-γ-inducible molecule, which functions as a potent costimulatory ligand for T cell activation and is synergistic with anti-CD28.

Asialoglycoprotein Receptor 1 (ASGPR1) is an endo*(代"c")ytic recycling receptor, belongs to the long-form subfamily of the C-type/Ca2+-dependent lectin family. ASGPR consists of two noncovalently-linked subnits, ASGPR1 and ASGPR2. ASGPR1 mediates the endo*(代"c")ytosis of plasma glycoproteins, recognizes terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine units. When the ligand binds to to ASGPR1, results in the complex is internalized and transported to a sorting organelle, then ASGPR1 and ligand can be disassociated, ASGPR1 returns to the cell membrane surface.

The molecular cloning and characterization of one member of the thioredoxin superfamily, designated as TMX2.The TMX2 cDNA consists of 1644 nucleotides and contains an open reading frame encoding a protein of 372 amino acids with a predicted molecular mass of 42.5 kDa and an isoelectric point of 8.94. The TMX2 protein may possess an N-terminal signal peptide, a potential transmembrane domain, an Myb DNA-binding domain repeat signature, a thioredoxin consensus pattern, an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane retention signal (KKXX-like motif), and a dileucine motif in the tail.
