关于Leptin：
Leptin is a hormone secreted from white adipocytes and plays important role in the regulation of food intake and energy balance. Leptin functions via signaling pathways involving OB-R in hypothalamus. In mammals, leptin is mainly produced by the adipose tissue and encodes body fat reserves, acting as a short-term satiety signal. In fish, the presence of a leptin-like peptide was first evidenced by immuno-cross-reactivity, and its existence was certainly demonstrated after the finding by synteny of a leptin sequence in the pufferfish.

Karyopherin Subunit α-2 (KPNA2) belongs to the importin alpha family. KPNA2 is widely expressed in many tissues and contains an N-terminal hydrophilic region, a hydrophobic central region composed of 10 repeats, and a short hydrophilic C-terminus. KPNA2 interacts with the NLSs of DNA helicase Q1 and SV40 T antigen and may be involved in the nuclear transport of proteins. KPNA2 also may play a role in V(D)J recombination. Cystatin SA is a member of family 2 of the Cystatin superfamily. Together with Cystatins S and SN, it is produced by the salivary gland and secreted largely in the submandibular/sublingual saliva. Cystatin SA inhibits Cathepsin L, but may not inhibit Cathepsins B and H. The functions of Cystatin SA are largely unknown. However, it has been suggested to play a role in the control of periodontal tissue destruction.

关于DAN：
Differential screening-selected gene aberrative in neuroblastoma (DAN) is a member of the DAN family of secreted glycoproteins. DAN family antagonists are characterized by a DAN domain that contains a cystine knot motif which is essential for binding to BMP ligands. Members of this family include DAN, gremlin, protein related to DAN and cerberus (PRDC), cerberus, sclerostin (SOST) and uterine sensitization-associated gene 1 protein, and control diverse processes in growth, development and the cell cycle. It has also been reported that DAN family plays crucial role in early mouse embryo development by inhibiting the action of bone morphogenic proteins and modulating the action of transforming growth factor-β superfamily members. DAN is synthesized by small-to intermediate-sized DRG neurons and transported to the sensory nerve terminals in the skin or to the sensory nerve terminals in the dorsal horn. It has been reported that DAN is ubiquitously expressed in adult rat and human tissues. Morphological studies have revealed that, in adult rat, DAN mRNA is expressed ubiquitously in lung and brain, but not in liver.
