描述：凋亡(apoptosis)细胞内出现凋亡小体，染色质断裂形成许多长度约为n x 180bp (n=1,2,3,4…)的DNA片段，琼脂糖凝胶电泳显示为阶梯状凋亡DNA Ladder，是细胞凋亡晚期无可争辩的特征。本试剂盒选择性分离和提取凋亡组织细胞特有的DNA ladder，快速方便，无需有机抽提，检测灵敏度极高。可以从2000个凋亡细胞中检测到DNA ladder，但灵敏度实际上只受限于DNA凝胶染色如溴化乙锭染色灵敏度。推荐起始标本约1-10 x 10⁵ 个细胞，其中应含有至少1-2 x10⁴个凋亡细胞；>2 x10⁴个凋亡细胞通常可以获得十分清晰的凋亡DNA ladder。据此，如果细胞凋亡发生率为10%，用户可用六孔板的一个孔(相当于一个35 mm培养皿)培养1-10 x 10⁵个细胞，如果内含1-10 x 10⁴个凋亡细胞，应足以获得清晰的凋亡DNA ladder。

本试剂盒可用于从组织中提取凋亡DNA ladder。但与培养细胞相比，整体动物组织凋亡细胞出现的部位不定、规律性差，取材量和部位是否恰当，均显著影响最终DNA ladder的量。有丰富经验的用户可以使用本试剂盒从组织提取凋亡DNA ladder。
