、在热带海洋多风暴
如北太平洋西南部分与中国南海是台风生成和影响强烈的地区。热带风暴(包括台风)是一种十分重要的气象灾害。
6、多云雾天气,湿度大
多数临近海洋的大陆地区,都具有海洋性气候特征,西欧沿海地区是大陆上典型的海洋性气候区。位于南北纬40至60度的大陆西岸,除亚洲和南极洲没有外,其余各大洲都有,其中以欧洲大陆西部及不列颠群岛(欧洲大陆)最为典型。温带海洋性气候往往仅分布在狭长地带或岛屿上。
温带海洋性气候在西欧最为典型,分布面积最大,在美洲大陆西岸相应的纬度地带以及大洋洲的塔斯马尼亚岛和新西兰等地也有分布。属于这一气候的有西北欧、加拿大太平洋沿岸、智利南部及澳大利亚的东南一小部分。
西欧位于北纬30-40°左右,受偏西风的影响,从大西洋上吹来的水汽可以影响到。而北美洲的地形是西边高,中间底,东边略高,从太平洋上吹来的水汽被落基山脉阻挡,只有沿海边缘地区才能受到影响,且有阿拉斯加暖流经过。所以北欧范围大,北美洲范围小。温带海洋性气候,纬度较高,阴雨天气多,热量和光照条件一般不太适合发展种植业(巴黎盆地除外,那里热量条件较好,有种植业分布),一般以畜牧业(如苏格兰北部),花卉种植业(如荷兰)等对热量要求较小的农业类型为主。
农业
该气候不利于粮食作物及油料作物的生长,但利于多汁牧草生长。
19世纪末就有人发现,在欧洲,海洋性气候条件下生产长的小麦,蛋白质含量小,至多只有4~8%。随着深入大陆,到俄罗斯欧洲部分,小麦的蛋白质含量增高达9~12%,在比较干燥炎热的地区,小麦的蛋白质含量增高到18%,甚至在20%以上,原苏联科学家证明:一个地区的气候大陆性越强,小麦的蛋白质含量也就越高。在气候温凉潮湿的地方,小麦的淀粉含量增加,而蛋白质含量却降低。人们为了补充蛋白质的不足,只好借助于肉类,但是又带来脂肪过多的缺点。可见,海洋性气候对农业并不很有利。年降水量1000~1500毫米。
