It binds preferentially to underphosphorylated retinoblastoma protein, which is involved in the control of cell proliferation. RbBP5 is a component of the SET1 complex and of MLL containing complexes. RbBP5 is phosphorylated in response to DNA damage, probably by ATM/ATR. |
