Human retinal microvascular endothelial cells were isolated from retinal tissue. The retina is a thin but very complex structure that resides in the inner wall of the eye. It is attached to the back wall of the eye. Nerve fibers that carry impulses from retinal receptors cross the surface of the retina and pass through the optic nerve to the outlet. The resolution of the retina is uneven, and its resolution is strongest in the macular region. It is composed of a single layer of flat epithelioid cells on the surface of the vascular cavity. The bioactive substances produced and secreted by it play an important role in maintaining vascular tension, regulating blood pressure, anti-thrombosis, etc., and have important pathophysiological significance in the pathogenesis of retinal vascular diseases. Because endothelial cells obtained from different tissues and organs have different properties, in the brain and retina, these endothelial cells function as an internal barrier and play an important role in regulating the physiological state of blood vessels, releasing vasoactive substances, and forming new blood vessels. Isolation and culture of RCEC in vitro is of great significance to study the pathophysiological mechanism of the occurrence and development of retinal vascular diseases and the early prevention and treatment of the diseases.
