Each vial contains 0.1 mg of lyophilized peptide. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.
Description
p53 acts as a tumor suppressor in many tumor types by inducing growth arrest or apoptosis. P53 is also involved in cell cycle regulation as transactivator that negatively regulate cell division. Defects in p53 are the cause of numerous cancers.
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200143 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human p53. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
