Application
Lipopolysaccharides (LPSs) are characteristic components of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria. LPS and its lipid A moiety stimulate cells of the innate immune system by the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4).
Lipopolysaccharides from Salmonella enterica serotype enteritidis are used in cell culture and cell binding applications. It was used to study the role of inflammation in the progression of neuropathic pain1 and aneurysm.2

文献和实验相。对沙门氏杆菌O抗原成分的化学研究，证明是由多糖构成的。这种多糖以半乳糖、甘露糖和鼠李糖的重复单位为基本结构。毒素与其它肠道细菌的情况一样，是内毒素，鼷鼠致死量约为0.5毫克左右，是一种多糖磷脂质的复合体。鸟、人、猪对许多菌都有较高的敏感性，但症状上与肠伤寒、副伤寒、食物中毒（主要是肠炎沙门氏菌和鼠伤寒沙门氏菌）一样，有各种不同的程度。治疗上氯霉素最有效。 沙门氏菌属（Salmonella）是一大群寄生于人类和动物肠道内生化反应和抗原构造相似的革兰氏阴性杆菌统
