Description 
Monoclonal Antibody against Neurofilament NF-M Clone 3H11 Form Tissue Culture Supernatant Host Mouse Species Reactivity Neurofilament NF-M Monoclonal AntibodyMammalian and Avian IsoType IgG1, k light chain Specificity Neurofilaments are the 10nm or intermediate filament proteins found specifically in neurons, and are composed predominantly of three major proteins called NF-L, NF-M and NF-H. NF-M is the neurofilament middle or medium molecular weight polypeptide and runs on SDS-PAGE gels at 145-160 kD, with some variability across species. Antibodies to NF-M are useful for identifying neuronal cells and their processes in tissue sections and in tissue culture. NF-M antibodies can also be useful in the diagnostics of neurofilament accumulations seen in many neurological diseases, such as Lou Gehrigs disease or Alzheimers disease.
Clone 3H11 was raised against a recombinant fusion protein containing the extreme C-terminus of rat NF-M expressed in and purified from E. coli. The epitope is localized to within the last 56 amino acids of rat NF-M, a region highly conserved between NF-M molecules from different species.Uses Neurofilament NF-M Monoclonal AntibodyThis antibody is effective in immunoblotting and immunfluorescence.
