α-synuclein is a 140 amino acid protein that is implicated in Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body dementia, and multiple system atrophy. Signet’s LB509 reacts with human but does not react with rodent α-synuclein. LB509 recognizes amino acids 115-122 of human α-synuclein. |
Uses |
|
This antibody is effective in immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC) and ELISA. |
Suggested Working Dilution |
|
The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition.
- Western/Dot blot: 1:100-1:10,000
- IHC: 1:100-1:1,000
Tissue Sections: Frozen and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues Pretreatment: Not required
|
Storage |
|
α-Synuclein (LB509) Monoclonal AntibodyStore at -20°C or below. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody. Do not store in frost-free freezers. |
