Description 
Polyclonal Antibody against Vimentin Form Purified Antibody Host Chicken Species Reactivity Human, Rat, Mouse IsoType IgY [Ab] Vimentin Polyclonal Antibody, Purified ~20mg/mL Specificity Vimentin is protein subunit of the 10nm or intermediate filaments protein found in many kinds of mesenchymal and epithelia cells, in many kinds of cells in tissue culture and in developing neuronal and astrocytic precursor cells in the central nervous system. Vimentin frequently forms copolymers with other intermediate filament proteins, such as GFAP (in many kinds of astrocytes), with desmin (in muscle cells) and neurofilament proteins (in developing neurons). Antibodies to vimentin are useful in studies of stem cells and generally to reveal the filamentous cytoskeleton.
This antibody was raised in chickens against purified recombinant vimentin.Uses Vimentin Polyclonal Antibody, Purified This antibody is effective in immunofluorescence. This antibody does not bind to protein A or protein G. Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. This antibody is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.
