Description 
Polyclonal Antibody against Lamin A Form Antiserum Host Rabbit Species Reactivity Lamin A Polyclonal Antibody Human Specificity Nuclear lamins were initially identified as major components of the nuclear lamina, a proteinaceous layer found at the interface between chromatin and the inner nuclear membrane. Lamins were originally proposed to support the nuclear envelope and provide anchorage sites for chromatin. Recent evidence suggests that lamins are involved in a number of other functions including nuclear envelope assembly, DNA synthesis, transcription, and apoptosis.
The three lamin genes LMNA, LMNB1 and LMNB2 encode seven alternatively spliced isoforms. The A type lamins A, Aδ10, C and C2 are all derived from the LMNA gene. The B-type lamins are B1 encoded by LMNB1 and B2-B3 are encoded by LMNB2.
The lamin A polyclonal antibody was raised using a peptide antigen.Uses Lamin A Polyclonal Antibody This antibody is effective in immunoblotting and immunostaining (works both with formaldehyde and methanol fixation). Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. This antibody is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.
