Highly potent, cell-permeable, selective ROCK inhibitor

Y-27632 is a highly potent, cell-permeable and selective inhibitor of Rho-associated coiled coil forming protein kinases (ROCK). As well as modulating smooth-muscle contraction by inhibiting Ca²⁺ sensitization, Rho/ROCK pathway may help to regulate integrin-mediated cell adhesion and motility, which could be critical in processes such as tumour-cell metastasisand immunoactivation. (Ki value of Y-27632 for p160^ROCK = 140 nmol/L ¹⁾
