Natural Mouse Nerve Growth Factor 2.5S (NGF 2.5S) is a bioactive protein intended for use in cell culture applications. NGF 2.5S is a ~26-kDa subunit of the 7S NGF complex. The 2.5S subunit is responsible for most of the biological activities of NGF. The 2.5S subunit promotes nerve growth and maintenance of adrenergic neurons in vitro.• High purity – no interference from other proteins or contaminants

- RT-PCR was performed by using 0.5 µl of reverse transcriptase (Superscript II, Life Technologies). The culture medium, a mixture of Dulbecco's modified Eagle's MEM and Ham's F-12 solution (50:50), contained 10% FBS, 1 mM sodium pyruvate, 50-100 ng/ml of nerve growth factor (GIBCO), and 100 units/ml of penicillin/streptomycin.
