Recombinant Human Prolactin, H

Mammotropin, Luteotropic hormone, Luteotropin, PRL.

Prolactin is a neuroendocrine hormone synthesized primarily by the pituitary gland but also a variety of other cell types including the placenta, brain and uterus. Its primary function is to promote and maintain lactation but has also been shown to have a role in breast cancer development, regulation of reproductive function and immunoregulation.

Prolactin-His Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 199 amino acids fragment (29-227) and having a molecular mass of 23 kDa with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag.
The Prolactin is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sterile Filtered clear solution.

Prolactin His is supplied in 1x PBS and 50% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. Please avoid freeze thaw cycles.

Greater than 95.0% as determined by(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
