Product Overview

This kit is a core product of the EliKine™ series, specifically designed for quantitative detection of human Galectin‑3 (galactose‑binding lectin‑3) using high‑sensitivity sandwich ELISA technology, suitable for a variety of samples including cell culture supernatants, serum, and plasma. Thanks to its excellent specificity, it can directly quantify the target protein down to 62.5 pg/mL without additional purification.

Core Technology and Detection Principle

Utilizes a dual‑antibody sandwich format:

1. The microplate is pre‑coated with a specific anti‑Galectin‑3 capture antibody.
2. Sample or standard is added; Galectin‑3 binds to the capture antibody forming a solid‑phase complex.
3. After washing, a biotinylated detection antibody is added, creating an antigen‑antibody‑antibody bridge.
4. Streptavidin‑HRP conjugate binds to the biotin, completing the enzyme labeling.
5. TMB substrate is added; HRP catalyzes color development (blue → yellow). Optical density is read at 450 nm, with OD proportional to concentration.
