检测原理

The CheKine™ Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) Activity Assay Kit (Micro Method) is a colorimetric-based assay tool designed for the accurate and efficient determination of acetylcholinesterase activity in various biological samples. This kit is suitable for fresh serum (plasma), animal tissues, and neural cell samples, and is widely used in neuroscience, toxicology, and cellular metabolism research.
Assay Principle
Acetylcholinesterase (AChE), a member of the serine hydrolase family, plays a critical role in neural signal transduction by catalyzing the hydrolysis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh). This kit utilizes the hydrolysis of ACh by AChE to generate choline, which subsequently reacts with the chromogenic agent 5,5'-dithio-bis-(2-nitrobenzoic acid) (DTNB) to produce the yellow compound 5-thio-2-nitrobenzoic acid (TNB), which exhibits a characteristic absorption peak at 412 nm. By dynamically monitoring the rate of increase in absorbance at 412 nm, the enzymatic activity of AChE can be accurately calculated.

Sample Handling Recommendations
