G protein coupled receptors translate extracellular signals into intracellular signals (G protein activation) and they respond to a variety of signaling molecules, such as hormones and neurotransmitters. GPR37L1 (GPR 37-like 1), also known as ETBRLP2 (endothelin B receptor-like protein 2), is a 481 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the GPR1 family. Expressed in the central nervous system, GPR37L1 functions as an orphan receptor and is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 1q32.1. |
