MYOZ (Myozenin 1) plays an important role in the modulation of calcineurin signaling. MYOZ1 may play a role in myofibrillogenesis. MYOZ1 interacts with ACTN2, ACTN3, FLNA, FLNB, FLNC, LDB3, PPP3CA and TCAP and interacts via its C-terminal region with MYOT. MYOZ1 is localized to the nucleus and pseudopodia of undifferentiated cells and detected throughout the myotubes of differentiated cells.
