背景介绍
Killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIRs) are a diverse family of inhibitory and activating receptors expressed on NK cells and a subset of T cells (PMID: 11861603). These polymorphic receptors interact with specific motifs on HLA class I molecules, modulate NK cytolytic activity and are encoded by genes located on chromosome 19q13.4 (PMID: 17069649). KIR2DS1, also known as CD158h, is a 50 kDa, single-pass glycoprotein consisting of an extracellular region composed of two Ig-like domains, a transmembrane region and a short cytoplasmic tail lacking the ITIM motif (PMID: 8627176). It is expressed on natural killer cells and a subset of T cells. KIR2DS1 is an activating receptor that recognizes HLA-C2 group. KIR2DS1 has been shown to be involved in many disorders including autoimmune diseases, malignancies and pregnancy outcomes (PMID: 28546555).
