Anti-Mouse IL-17A Recombinant

IL-17A (Interleukin-17A) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a central role in the immune response, particularly in the defense against extracellular pathogens such as bacteria and fungi. It is primarily produced by Th17 cells, a subset of helper T cells, but also by other immune cells, including γδ T cells, mast cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. IL-17A signals through the IL-17 receptor (IL-17R), initiating a cascade of intracellular signaling pathways that lead to the production of various pro-inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, and matrix metalloproteinases. These molecules contribute to the recruitment of neutrophils and macrophages, enhancing the inflammatory response. IL-17A is implicated in autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), where its dysregulation leads to chronic inflammation.
