一般描述:转铁蛋白是具有分支糖链的糖蛋白，多肽链中具有两个铁离子结合位点。
应用
人转铁蛋白已用于:
- 与IgG一起孵育人近端肾小管细胞(HKC)-8个细胞，检验白蛋白特异性
- 用作人糖原细胞培养的含血清/无人甲状腺细胞培养液的补充剂
- 用作开发凝胶肼解法的靶糖蛋白
生化/生理作用
转铁蛋白介导铁从血浆向细胞的运输。与铁结合的转铁蛋白具有三种形式:单铁A/B转铁蛋白和二铁转铁蛋白。转铁蛋白可与特定的细胞表面受体结合，通过内吞作用内化。进入细胞后，铁被释放到细胞中，无铁转铁蛋白(也称为脱铁转铁蛋白)则通过胞吐作用释放到细胞外，而不会被降解。目前确知转铁蛋白可将铁以生理学安全有效的形式递送至细胞。
其他说明:部分铁饱和
制备说明:60℃热处理10小时。
分析说明:通过琼脂糖电泳纯化。
