TNNT2 is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the troponin complex, which is situated on the thin filament of striated muscles and regulates muscle contraction in response to alterations in intracellular calcium ion concentration. Mutations in TNNT2 gene can lead to familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as dilated cardiomyopathy. TNNT2 mutation takes part in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Cardiac Muscle Troponin T Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non- glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 297 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 35.8kDa.
TNNT2 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

TNNT2 is supplied as a 0.2 μm filtered solution conteining 10mM Tris-HCl, pH8.0, 50% glycerol and 250mM NaCl.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.
Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Greater than 98.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
