In Vitro: Caspase-9 Inhibitor III (0.07-0.105 μM; perfused for 10 min) significantly attenuates I/R induced increase in infarct size, release of lactate dehydrogenase and creatine kinase in the coronary effluent, and apoptotic index of isolated rat heart.
Caspase-9 Inhibitor III (30 μM) inhibits troponin I proteolysis induced by MMP-2.
