Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards. Calcium Lactobionate is the calcium salt of lactobionic acid, produced by the oxidation of lactose. It is widely used as a firming agent in dry pudding mixes due to its solubility in water.[1]
