AF594 NHS 酯（琥珀酰亚胺酯）与 Alexa Fluor® 594 NHS 酯（Alexa Fluor® 是 ThermoFisher 的商标）的分子相同。它是一种明亮的红色荧光染料，最适合与倍频 He-Ne 激光线一起使用。 AF594 染料是水溶性的，在 pH 4 至 pH 10 范围内对 pH 不敏感。AF594 的 NHS 酯（或琥珀酰亚胺酯）是最方便的胺反应形式，可将该染料与蛋白质或抗体结合。
