Isoelectric focusing of monoclonal antibodies in agarose gel is one of several ways to characterize a hybridoma. Isoelectric focusing is performed on each monoclonal antibody, and the mouse immunoglobulin bands are immobilized by soaking the gel with rabbit antimouse immunoglobulin before staining with Coomassie Blue.
