具有从神经末梢向中枢传导冲动的神经称为传入神经。相当于所有的感觉神经。实际上把传入神经称为传入（神经）纤维（ afferent fiber）或传入神经元则更为确切。从任何一个感觉部位出发向中枢传导冲动的全部途径称为传入神经径路（ afferentpathway）。自主神经大部分属于传出神经，但大动脉神经、颈动脉窦神经、迷走神经的肺部分枝等若干神经是传入神经。
