足波 pedal wave

足波 pedal wave 系指腹足类在匍伏时，其足的下面相继起伏的一种收缩波（蜗牛为 10条左右）。将动物放在玻璃板上爬行，透过玻璃板即能观察到。这是肌肉运动的一种特殊形式，推动动物体前进的机制与蠕动运动相近似。实际上足波是足的下面，紧贴物体表面的静止部分和主要靠腹背走向的肌纤维之收缩而可提举的部分。形成交错的横纹。可分为向前方运动的顺行型（ direct type）（例：蜗牛）和向后方运动的逆行型（ retrograde type）（例：海兔）。前进是由于可提举的部分不断向前移动所致。后退极为少见。足波有 1列单行的（ monotaxic）和 2列双行的（ dit-axie）区别。
